3 Simple Chaga Tea Recipes

Latest Tea | June 25, 2020

The taste of chaga mushroom is somewhat hard to explain to those who haven't yet tried this medicinal mushroom. Some say it has an earthy taste and even a hint of vanilla or sweetness. What we can say for sure is that it definitely tastes better than what it looks like!

Our Cha-Cha-Chaga comes in its pure form. No additives, only 100% wild-harvested chaga mushroom (inonotus obliquus) from Siberia. This makes it ideal if you want to use it in a shake, bake with it or enhance your tea experience.

You live a busy life and you love simple recipes. We got you covered. Here are our favorite simple recipes when preparing chaga mushroom tea.

Organic Raw Honey

Yes, honey! This sweet product produced by the busy bees is such a treat. Honey is sweet because of the monosaccharides fructose and glucose and has a similar sweetness to regular table sugar. This is a staple in most homes and makes a great sweetener.

Lemon

This popular fruit is generally used for its juice but some recipes call for its pump and rind for baking and cooking. We love to squeeze some lemon slices into our chaga drink to enhance the taste. With a hint of citric acid and a pH level of about 2.2 the lemon has a sour taste. Lemons are rich in vitamin C and soluble fiber. What's not to love about these little guys?

Maple Syrup

We wouldn't be able to keep this well-known product out of the list. Maple syrup is truly a staple in Canadian kitchens. Maple syrup was first used by the indigenous peoples of North America and was then brought to Europe. In Canada it must be produced from maple sap to be considered true maple syrup. This tasteful substance pairs well with morning favorites like pancakes, waffles, French toast AND, of course, chaga mushroom tea! Give it a try, you'll be glad you did.
